Did you know, nearly 20 million Australians, close to 75% of the population, tune into Free TV broadcast and BVOD (Broadcast Video on Demand) every week? According to the latest OzTAM figures viewers also average 51 hours and 14 minutes of Broadcast TV per month.
OzTAM also reports that BVOD, also known as “free streaming,” now represents 15% of total weekly viewing, generating 32 million weekly viewing sessions. Among 18 to 39-year-olds, BVOD has surged to over 25% of their total TV consumption, highlighting the shift of tech-savvy audiences towards on-demand content, while still valuing the quality of free-to-air programming.
